Debt Collection Resources for Cross-Servicing Debtors

If you have a debt being serviced by the Cross-Servicing program, please use the forms below if you would like to:

  • authorize another person to receive information about your debt,
  • dispute your debt,
  • complete financial paperwork to be considered for a repayment agreement based on your ability to pay; or
  • claim your portion of a joint tax refund payment that was offset for your spouse’s debt.

You may want Cross-Servicing to talk to a third party about your bill:

Authorization for Release of Information (Form 13): Authorizes Fiscal Service, its employees, agents, and contractors to disclose to a named representative, all information related to a debt owed to a federal or state agency.

If you object to the bill:

Debtor Dispute Form. If you do not agree that you owe the amount listed on the notice you received from Cross-Servicing, you may dispute all or part of your debt.

You may be able to pay in installments or obtain other relief based on your ability to pay:

Consumer and Commercial Debtor Financial Statements.

If you would like to be considered for a payment agreement or other form of financial relief, you must complete a financial statement and provide all supporting documentation.

Offset of a Joint Tax Refund Payment: Injured Spouse Allocation:

You may use Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Form 8379 to claim your portion of a joint tax refund payment that was offset for your spouse’s debt.
