Federal Student Loans

The U.S. Department of the Treasury helps the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid collect defaulted loans through its Treasury Offset Program. It does not service these debts through its Cross-Servicing Program. National Student Loan Data System
A U.S. Department of Education's central database for student aid. NSLDS gets data from schools, guaranty agencies, the Direct Loan program, and other Department of ED programs. NSLDS Student Access provides a centralized, integrated view of Title IV loans and grants so that recipients of Title IV Aid can access and ask about their Title IV loans or grant data.
