Frequently Asked Questions
Make sure your Adjusted Trial Balance (ATB) file is in the standard bulk file format.
If you want to submit a bulk file with several Treasury Account Symbols (TASs), it's best to group all the TAS components for one TAS first, then group all the components for the second TAS, and so on. The relevant TAS components are Allocation Transfer Agency Identifier, Agency Identifier, Beginning Period of Availability, Ending Period of Availability, Availability Type Code, Main Account Code, and Sub Account Code.
Check the "My ATB Status page" to see if your file has been processed or not.
If the TAS is still processing
If your TAS is still processing, you will see it listed on the "Not Submitted" tab. You will also see a message in "My ATB Status" outlined in red which says, "One or more of your assigned TAS are being processed."
To see which TAS is still processing, click on View Details.
When the TAS has processed successfully, it will drop off the "TAS in Progress" area.
If the TAS has finished processing
If your TAS has finished processing, you will see that TAS in one of 3 tabs: Passed Required Edits, Failed Edits, or Failed Validations.
You can identify the TAS by looking at the Upload Data and User ID fields. They show you the date the bulk file was uploaded and who uploaded it.
You can also search
You can also search by TAS to look at the Submission Status.
If you still can't find your TAS
If you don't see your TAS and it's not listed under Not Submitted, your ATB file is probably still processing.
Check back periodically for an updated status.
If you still don't see your TAS the next day, resubmit it.
If you are resubmitting your ATB file, resubmit each TAS. If your TAS is already certified and you resubmit, it will no longer be in a certified status, and you will need to re-certify.
The deadlines are in the GTAS Reporting Window Schedule.
Even though a TAS has no activity, the certification process is now available through My ATB Status. From the Not Submitted tab, there will be a new button called 'Manage No Activity'. After clicking the button agencies will have the ability to select ‘no activity’ TAS for the certification process.
Agencies will be able to certify 'no activity' TAS, without uploading a Bulk File, when they meet the following conditions:
- TAS ATB Submission Status is Not Submitted
- TAS Fund Balance with Treasury is $0
- TAS Net Outlay Amount is $0
- The TAS should not have a Business Line balance. If the TAS has a ‘Miscellaneous’ line that equals $0, the TAS will still qualify as a No Activity TAS
- There are no transactions for the TAS
- There is no intragovernmental authoritative activity for the TAS
After a TAS is selected, it will move to the Pending Certification tab. When a 'no activity' TAS is selected from here, the message displayed to the certifier will be updated for awareness. 'No activity' TAS will display on the ‘Certified’ tab after the certification process is completed.
You should submit most TASs. You do not need to submit zero-dollar C-TASs.
We don’t need C-TAS for reporting purposes unless the C-TAS contains balances in accordance with:
Please read the CTAS Guidance.
An agency now has the parameter options to run an SF133 report by an individual reporting month (period 02-12) or by the quarter (period 03, 06, 09 and 12).
